Beliefs
The people of Epiloges, like all other greeks, believed in polytheism, or the belief in more than one god. Greeks made up myths about their gods to explain why things are the way they are. For example, Zeus, the king of the gods, struck down a lightning bolt down onto earth, which created fire.
The main god that the people of Epiloges worshipped was Hephaestus, the greek god of stone. They believed that he blessed them with stone, which was their main resource, therefore sacrificed animals and held ceremonies in his honor. With this stone that they 'recieved,' Epiloges was able to trade it with other city-states and build structures.
