Allies and Rivals Epiloges allied with Athens and exchanged olive oil and cloth and, in return, received spices and silver coins. Their rivals were Corinth because they had similar resources and, therefore, both traded the same supplies with other city-states, so were no use to Epiloges and were considered high competition.

Trade Epiloges communicated and traded with other city-states. They were popular because of the high command of marble. They also traded some of their artwork that was created by the people of Epiloges. Since women did not go to school, they excelled in weaving, cooking, cloth making, and jewlery making. This let them trade baskets, clothing, and jewlery to the other city-states. Epiloges used water transportation to travel to other city-states in order to trade with them. Because Epiloges did not have good farm land, they traded their resources in order to get foods and grains in return. Trading was a necessity for the people of Epiloges to survive.
